The beautiful monster
Keeps at his cave
Crying as if his heart would break
There was a time
When he used to be
A handsome youth endowed with qualities
Kind and gentle he was, to the folks around him
So much that wicked people envied him
Among them was a cunning wizard
Who was hated by all
On an unfortunate day
He cast a spell
And turned the gentle young man
Into a dreadful monster of hell
Though the man retained his kindness
And still tried to be as much gentle as he could be
But the townspeople feared him
Even if he tried to be friendly
Day in and day out, they cursed his existence
And wished that he was gone forever
So the beautiful monster took refuge
In a cave of darkness
Where grief and sorrow pressed on him
Now he lies there all neglected and sad
Coming out once in every full moon
In the middle of the night
Staring at the crimson sphere in the sky
He howls out his pains
To the cold, chilly winds
That gush past him free of care
By the light of the moon
His eyes gleam brightly
As he sheds his tears in vain
'Cause he knows the bitter truth of his life
That civilized eyes should never see his face again
Keeps at his cave
Crying as if his heart would break
There was a time
When he used to be
A handsome youth endowed with qualities
Kind and gentle he was, to the folks around him
So much that wicked people envied him
Among them was a cunning wizard
Who was hated by all
